Abstract Body : Here we report on two overlapping anatomical variations in a female cadaver specimen: Right Internal Jugular Vein (IJV) Phlebectasia with the additional anastomosis of the External Jugular Vein (EJV) directly to that enlarged IJV. Although rare and mostly benign, increased awareness and proper monitoring of these types of anatomical variations has relevance to the accurate diagnosis of this condition, long-term well-being of affected patients, and for surgeons considering possible cosmetic intervention.
