The extraordinary moving story of Toni Crews, a young mum with a rare terminal cancer who charted her illness online before donating her body for medical research and public dissection. This BAFTA and Royal Society Television Award-nominated documentary has been viewed by over 2 million. Toni, in life, consented to anatomical examination and public display, with the full understanding that she would not be anonymous and with the full involvement of her family, who are seen in the documentary. Toni donated to Brighton and Sussex Medical School, where the documentary was filmed. The film contains upsetting and graphic images of dissection, and may not be suitable for younger audiences. The film is shared with the American Association of Anatomists with the full consent of the TV companies, the University, and the family to facilitate discussion about the body in health and disease and the role of body donation. Please do not take images and recordings of the film. If you would like to use the documentary in teaching please contact c.smith@bsms.ac.uk, who can facilitate this. The film will be followed by a Q&A session with Dr. Claire Smith from Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
