Emelie-jo Scheffler is a third-year medical student at Oakland University William Beaumont (OUWB) School of Medicine in Rochester, Michigan, and is planning on pursuing a career in Urology. Emelie-jo has worked as a anatomy tutor for OUWB for the past two years, assisting first and second year medical students as they learn gross anatomy. Emelie-jo was born and raised in the Buffalo, New York area prior to moving to the Metro Detroit region for medical school. She spends her free time volunteering for local community organizations, taking care of her dog Stella, and loves to stay active through dance and baton twirling.
