Research Assistant
University of Toronto, Canada
Reader,
I am a recent graduate at the University of Toronto where I studied microbiology and statistics. I hope to pursue a career in both pandemic preparedness research and teaching at the undergraduate level. I've had the privilege of pursuing my deep interest in the latter through my work with Dr. Danielle Bentley at the University of Toronto, where we investigate the efficacy of novel teaching methods in undergraduate anatomy courses. A scientist, educator, and advocate at heart, it's important to me to implement evidence-based pedagogical practices to enhance the learning experience for undergraduate students. If you'd like to read more about our work, I encourage you to check out our lab website (atlasresearchlab.ca).
Outside of research, I advocate, in an outreach capacity, by my work with specialized leadership and first aid instruction through Lifesaving Society Ontario. Passionate about employment mentorship, I teach youth and young adults interested in working in recreation. I am grateful to have the chance to work with this group for a safer, more informed future. Beyond this, I enjoy bartending, basking in greenery, and discovering new R&B music.
My email is a.sotto@utoronto.ca. I would love for you to write me :), and am always happy to hear from you.
Angelo
