Research Instructor
NYU Grossman School of Medicine
I am a human evolutionary biologist (biological anthropologist) by training and an anatomist by trade. I have a BS in Biological Anthropology from George Washington University. I am a current PhD student at the CUNY Graduate Center. My dissertation research is on the evolution of joint morphology, specifically the elbow, hand, and knee, in higher primates with implications for the evolution of bipedalism in hominins. I am also anatomy faculty at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and have spearheaded curricular changes to integrate novel digital content into anatomy teaching endeavors. This includes the design of 3D models for printing and the creation of immersive experiences accessed on desktop and Virtual Reality headsets to bring students into the human body.
