Crispin is currently an Assistant Professor (Clinical Anatomy & Imaging) at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick. He has a teaching-focused role delivering practical and tutorial sessions on all aspects of clinical anatomy and imaging on a post-graduate entry medical (MBChB) programme. He is also deputy Lead for MBChB Admissions. He has been awarded several teaching prizes at a medical school and University level. Educationally he has a particular interest in anatomy education, formative assessment, and drawing and his scientific interests include the structure, development, and biomechanics of bone.
Prior to this role Crispin has worked as an educationally-minded anatomist in several Universities, the commercial sector (developing digital 3D models of the body for Primal Pictures Ltd), and museums (at the Wellcome Museum of Anatomy and Pathology) and has undertaken freelance work, both as an invited author of clinical anatomy content for an RCSEng-sponsored resource, and providing expertise in 3D image analysis and reconstruction for the British Museum.
