Instructor
Eastern Virginia Medical School
As an instructor of anatomical sciences at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), I am passionate about simplifying complex topics within the field and making them more accessible and understandable for students and professionals. I teach embryology and anatomy to the School of Medicine and Health Professions at EVMS, using innovative methods and tools to enhance learning outcomes and engagement.
My journey as an anatomical sciences educator began at James Madison University. I earned a BS in Kinesiology and served as a teaching assistant and study session leader for the anatomy courses. I then pursued a master's degree in contemporary human anatomy (now known as the Master of Anatomical Sciences) at EVMS, where I developed my presentation skills, communication, and problem-solving skills. After completing my degree, I joined the Department of Pathology and Anatomy as an instructor, contributing to the curriculum development and assessment of the anatomical sciences courses. I am on a mission to share my knowledge and passion for the anatomical sciences with others and to collaborate and learn from my peers and mentors.
