Nice to meet you! My name is Mary Piscura, and I am an early career anatomist at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Auburn, Alabama. I have several research interests, including the human flourishing data I am presenting at a poster session. I am likewise interested in curricular design and educational projects, such as generating formative assessments that engage student agency and habit formation. My biomedical research interests lie in improving translatability of preclinical pain studies, which ties into my clinical engagement in helping form a multidisciplinary pain collaborative research clinic. I am a co-founder of the Anato-Bee, a high school outreach initative aimed to improving opportunities in the anatomical sciences. In my free time, I enjoy backyard bird watching, any sort of crafting or art, and doing the daily New York Times crossword puzzle.
