Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor at JABSOM within the Department of Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology. Hailing from Turkey, I earned my MD degree from Mersin University and subsequently pursued a PhD in Anatomy at Akdeniz University. Upon joining JABSOM in 2021, I showcased a strong interest in innovative anatomy education and educational research.
My research primarily focuses on utilizing technology for online computer-based teaching, employing platforms like Rad3D, Sketchfab, and zSpace to promote situated learning through collaboration. Additionally, I have been actively utilizing advanced video production and streaming methods, such as Chroma Key, in the JABSOM Anatomy Department's soundstage for online continuing Anatomy education presentations. I am deeply engaged in developing case-based online learning modules.
My expertise particularly lies in leveraging advanced tools like extended reality (XR) and medical imaging techniques to transform the educational landscape. With a background in both medical practice and academic research, I am dedicated to advancing healthcare education through cutting-edge technologies. I strive to enhance the effectiveness and accessibility of healthcare training while fostering global collaboration in medical education.
