Jon Cornwall is currently Education Adviser in the Centre for Early Learning in Medicine at the Otago Medical School, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. He is interested in body donation and the use of human tissues in education and research, with a specific interest in the application of digital technologies in this space. He is one of three academics (along with Sabine Hildebrandt and Thomas Champney) guiding the ‘Bioethics Unicorns’ initiative that seeks to promote ethics and professionalism education in anatomy. Jon is a member of the Federative International Committee for Ethics in the Medical Humanities (FICEM) for the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA). In the last two years he has led development of the FICEM / IFAA recommendations on anatomical image use, and is lead author on the upcoming American Association of Anatomists Recommendations for the Management of Legacy Anatomical Collections.
