Abstract Body : This presentation aims to showcase the capabilities of current 3D printing technology and its application in anatomy education. Key inquiries include the ease of starting 3D printing, cost-effectiveness as an alternative to purchasing models, and the origins of the models printed. We will assess various 3D printers utilized for printing anatomical models at our institution, covering printer types and the materials used. Discussion will encompass the expenses associated with the printers and the materials essential for model printing. Significantly, we will provide firsthand insights, detailing the successes, challenges, pitfalls and knowledge gained through 3D printing. Our comparison of 3D printers, ranging from inexpensive (< $300) to pricier ( >$3,000), revealed that cost does not guarantee superior or inferior performance. Key factors influencing performance include the filament material and the printer's configuration for printing.
