Postdoc
University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus
My name is Dr. Robert Lalonde and I am a Canadian postdoc currently working in Dr. Christian Mosimann’s lab at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, Colorado. I received my BSc with Honors at Dalhousie University, and my PhD in Developmental Biology at the University of Ottawa. My work focuses on early patterning and fate specification of the lateral plate mesoderm, particularly as it relates to congenital cardiac and limb diseases. Using zebrafish as a model system, I combine my skills in transgenesis, genome editing, and fluorescence microscopy to address questions surrounding the etiology of congenital multiorgan diseases in humans. My work is currently supported by the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00) and my career goal is to become an independent investigator at a top academic research institution.
