Dr. Kimberlee Giffen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. She currently teaches in the pre-clerkship curriculum at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership. Dr. Giffen completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Creighton University and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. With over 20 years of teaching experience, ranging from high school through graduate levels, Dr. Giffen is well-versed in curriculum design and instruction. Her content expertise includes Neuroscience/ Neuroanatomy, Gross Anatomy and Physiology. Dr. Giffen’s research interests include auditory and vestibular neuroscience, interprofessional healthcare education and integrating interactive activities to promote metacognition in UME.
