Dr. Hatcher is a Professor in the Department of Neuroscience in the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky. She works with students in a variety of disciplines, including medical, dental, physician assistants, physical therapists, and graduate students, with a focus on embryology, histology, and gross anatomy education. Her scholarly interests include incorporating the humanities into anatomy/medical education and faculty development. Dr. Hatcher is Chair of the Women in Medicine and Science and Director of the Graduate Certificate in Anatomical Sciences Instruction. On April 1st, she will serve as the Assistant Dean for Foundational Sciences for the College of Medicine. In this role, she will work with course directors in the pre-clinical curriculum, clerkship directors in the clinical years, and the curriculum committee to enhance the foundational sciences across all years of medical training.
