Dr. Jay Prakash Prasad Kumal, PhD (He/Him/His), serves as an Assistant Professor of Human Anatomy at Nepalgunj Medical College in Chisapani, Banke, Nepal. Beginning with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology (Honours) from LND College, B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, India, Dr. Kumal continued his academic journey with a Master of Science in Human Anatomy from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal. He further pursued a Ph.D. in Human Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology under the Chinese Government Scholarship at Harbin Medical University, China, focusing his research on the therapeutic potential of electroacupuncture combined with metformin for traumatic brain injury.
Having held teaching positions at esteemed institutions like Kathmandu Medical College and Janaki Medical College, Dr. Kumal currently educates future medical professionals at Nepalgunj Medical College. His research contributions have resulted in publications in reputable journals like Frontiers in Neurology and Neuroscience, notably advancing understanding in traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer's disease.
