Rebecca Wisner, M.S. is a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in the anatomy education track program at IU School of Medicine. She has nearly ten years of experience teaching gross anatomy, histology, and other anatomical subdisciplines to undergraduate, graduate, medical, and allied health professional students. She has conducted human body donor dissections for seven years and worked with tissue specimens from a number of vertebrate organisms. She has training in clinical imaging modalities and organ plastination techniques. She is a skilled science communicator and is passionate about public outreach for science. Her academic interests include the history of medicine and anatomy, anatomical and medical terminology, student experiences in the anatomy laboratory, and teaching and learning in the anatomical sciences. Becca plans to pursue a career as an anatomy educator upon completion of her graduate studies and looks forward to working towards improving anatomical education and health professional education as a whole.
