Assistant professor of Animal Histology and Embryology at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar (ICBAS). Graduated in Veterinary Medicine and enrolled a PhD in Veterinary Sciences at ICBAS, while graduated in medicine. The scientific interests encompass the study of the liver, by quantitative morphology, veterinary cytology and hematology. Author of over 60 papers in those areas and of a book devoted to veterinary cytology.
