Dr. Nathan Tullos is an Associate Professor of Anatomy in the Department of Advanced Biomedical Education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He earned his PhD in Microbiology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and subsequently pursued postdoctoral training in Physiology and Biophysics at the same institution.
Dr. Tullos' research is dedicated to exploring innovative methods for integrating gross anatomy laboratory experiences into the traditional classroom setting. His work aims to enhance student learning outcomes and engagement through novel approaches in anatomical education. Additionally, Dr. Tullos serves as the Vice Chair for Research and Associate Director of the Body Donation Program within the Department of Advanced Biomedical Education, where he plays a crucial role in promoting anatomical research and facilitating the ethical donation of bodies for medical education and scientific study.
Dr. Tullos strives to bridge the gap between fundamental anatomical principles and practical application, preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals for success in the practice of medicine.
