Tooba Husain, M.Sc., is a second-year osteopathic medical student at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas where she conducted extensive research on the heme protein and its role in small and non-small cell lung cancers. She then obtained a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center where she worked with Dr. Rachel Menegaz and her team to study craniofacial development in mice with osteogenesis imperfecta. Furthermore, Ms. Husain was granted the opportunity to present her findings on neurocranial growth in the OI mouse model and was awarded the Langman Student Platform Presentation Award at the 2022 AAA annual conference. Upon gaining acceptance into medical school, she continued to work with Dr. Menegaz and published research on Neurocranial Growth in the OIM Mouse Model of Osteogenesis imperfecta in August 2023.
